  • What courses are available?

  • How do I book a course?
    • 1. Telephone us on +44 (0)1666 860 993 to reserve your place or to discuss your requirements.
    • 2. Or click on the “Book now” button for the course that you are interested in, and then click on the “Place Order” button.
    • 3. Or email us your requirements.
    • 4. Or complete the Course Booking Form – either scan and email it to us or post it to us at Egerton Consulting Ltd, The Green, Minety, Malmesbury, Wiltshire, SN16 9PL, UK. The Course Booking Form can be downloaded from any of the course pages or it can be downloaded here.
  • How do I pay?
    • 1. We can accept payment by cheque or online banking – details of these payment options are shown on our invoice which we will send to you by email together with confirmation of your course booking. Unfortunately we are not currently able to take payment via our website or by credit/debit card. Course joining instructions will be sent to you four to six weeks in advance of the start of the course.
    • 2. Please ensure that your booking includes the necessary details for invoicing – your company’s name, billing address, contact name and email address. We will then send an invoice to the billing address you provide with your booking. Payment is requested within 30 days of receipt of this invoice. Please note that we invoice on the same basis for all bookings, whether they are made via our website, by post, by email or by telephone.
  • Can I be certain that the course will run?
    • We take our commitments very seriously. Because of this we will never cancel a course due to a lack of numbers. If you have received confirmation from us that your booking has been accepted then you can be confident that we will run the course if we possibly can, even if you are the only delegate attending. Courses will only be cancelled in exceptional circumstances, e.g. our lecturers could be taken ill or the course may need to be cancelled due to events outside of our control. Obviously we will make every effort to overcome such difficulties and to run our courses as scheduled. However, if we do need to cancel or re-arrange a course then we will inform you immediately and offer you a full refund of the course booking fee.
  • Where will the course be held?
    • Our courses are normally held at the Cricklade House hotel in Wiltshire, UK (approximately 120km west of London). However, for smaller numbers we will use our own training facility in the nearby village of Minety. Click here for more information.
  • What is the course language?
    • All presentations, discussions, accompanying notes and exercises are in English.
  • How do I get there?
    • If you are flying then the most convenient place to fly to is Heathrow Airport from where you can reach us by coach or train. If you let us know a few days in advance when you expect to arrive at Swindon Coach or Railway Station we can then arrange complimentary transfer to your accommodation, and also daily transfer between your accommodation and the course venue as required. We will also take you back to Swindon Coach or Railway Station at the end of the course, so transport is not a problem.
      Travelling by coach
      1. If you are arriving at Terminal 1, 2 or 3 then follow the signs from your terminal to the Central Bus Station (approximately 5-10 minutes’ walk from the terminal foyer). Terminals 4 and 5 have stops located directly outside the Terminal Buildings.
      2. Catch the National Express coach to Swindon Main Stop Coach Station – tickets can be purchased online in advance or at the Central Bus Station ticket office.

      Travelling by train

      1. Take the Heathrow Express train to London Paddington Railway Station – tickets can be purchased online in advance, in the airport Luggage Reclaim area at Heathrow Airport or on the train.
      2. Take the train to Swindon Railway Station – tickets can be purchased online in advance or when you arrive at Paddington Railway Station.
  • Where can I stay?
    • A selection of local hotels and guesthouses close to the training venue can be found here. We have received good feedback for them from previous delegates. We offer complimentary transport from these hotels and guesthouses to the training venue if required.
  • What is included in the course price?
    • The course price includes:
      1. A course folder, comprising lecture notes and slide handouts for each lecture and sample solutions for each exercise.
      2. Lunch and refreshments throughout the day.
      3. Transfer between Swindon train or coach station and our recommended accommodation locations at the start and end of the course (if requested in advance).
      4. Daily transfer between our listed hotels and guesthouses and the course venue (if requested in advance).
      5. A course certificate.
      6. Half a day of advice and support by email or phone after the course. However, accommodation, breakfast and evening meals are not included in the price and will therefore need to be arranged separately.
  • What qualifications do I need to attend this course?
    • No formal qualifications are required for any of our courses. However, delegates tend to be professional engineers or supervisors with many years’ experience of working in an engineering or maintenance role.
  • Is there a discount for multiple bookings?
    • Yes – if two or more people from your company want to attend the same course then we are pleased to offer a 20% discount for the second and each additional delegate. So the more of you that come, the more you save!
  • What if I need to cancel?
    • A 75% refund of the course fee will be given on any cancellation received in writing at least 28 days prior to the commencement date of the course, and otherwise at our discretion. No charge will be made for substitutions, although please inform us of any changes.
